Ash & Elm Press is a blog about books, learning, and libraries. I’m Arielle Hessler, writer of this blog, current bookbinder, and future librarian. I created this blog as a place to write reflections about my forays into the realm of the book arts, along with any research, book reviews, and workshops I attend that strike my fancy.
Ash & Elm Press is the name I chose for my bookbinding work. I like to make non-adhesive books, and am currently working with modified long stitch styles of books using leather and felt. Soon I’ll expand into Coptic and stab binding as well. If interested, my work is available for purchase on Etsy.
